The housemates get pawisikal!
The housemates went jogging earlier, to warm up for the physical demands of the day. With sunglasses for dramatic effect and silly chants, the housemates looked good to go. For the fourth challenge of the week, the housemates had to work up a sweat, literally. Entitled “Let’s Get Pawisikal”, each housemate was given limited time to work out, after which their sweaty shirts were weighed. The activity area was full of various tools for working out. There was a saw, an axe, a trampoline and weights, among others. Each would choose 4 activities that they would work on for 10 minutes. The team who had the heaviest combined weight of sweat, wins.
Their weekly challenge was called “O-versus”, where one housemate from House A would be pitted against another from House B. Another series of challenges had to be accomplished, and the team with the highest number of points would be this week’s winner. So far, one house has been sweeping all the points while the other had none. Fortunately, no violent reactions have occurred yet, with each game ending in a friendly exchange of handshakes and hugs.
In one challenge, the housemates were made to stand on a small island in the middle of the pool and had to keep from being pushed off. Carol faced Yuri, and the task had Carol in tears yet again. Later, Melai and Rica re-enacted the scene, more as constructive criticism than a form of teasing. Melai told Carol to use her housemates as inspiration to do her best, which was all they ever asked from her.
On a lighter note, Rica led the girls in an impromptu skit where they pretended to be endorsers for the various sponsors. With much gusto, the girls delivered their lines and oozed confidence in promoting the products. In the boys’ room of House A, the boys were flexing their muscles, tirelessly working out their abs and biceps before hitting the sack. Could this be their answer to the constant comments of the girls in favor of their former boy housemates?
Meanwhile, Cathy and Hermes were enjoying a quiet moment together. Hermes was feeling guilty about his performance within the house and felt he had to step up his game. He realized it wasn’t all fun and games, and he had to take responsibility for himself and his team. In fact, long after reassuring Cathy that he was okay, he commented that he would be the one out of the house because he was pulling the others down.
Hermes has as good a chance as the rest of the housemates, and the final decision lies with the people.
