Rica, Sam breaks down while Melason love team soars higher!
While the Christmas Ball continued with more serenades from balladeers Christian Bautista and Richard Poon and the pop-rock band Imago, two of the housemates also started singing their songs... only not in happy beats but in painful melodies.
Rica and Sam, who were not asked out by any of the boys to the Ball, cried out their sentiments after several glasses of tequila. "I feel that I don't belong here. I feel like I'm rejected," cried Rica. Sam immediately came to Rica's comfort, saying "We're just too hot for them" while hugging and shushing her. But after awhile, Sam was already also crying with Rica. The girl housemates quickly noticed and gathered around, enveloping the crying duo with assurance. Mariel consoled the two by saying they shouldn't feel bad that nobody asked them out. "(It's just that) the boys that are good enough for you are not here, but out there." She even reminded Rica of her boyfriend outside, but Rica only responded with, "Yes, my boyfriend loves me. But outside him, I'm always rejected." Apparently, nothing the other girls said was going to make Rica feel better. It only made things worse because Rica pitied herself more and showed her frustration by banging her head to the wall. Luckily, before she hurt herself, Big Brother asked Hermes to bring her to the confession room.
In the confession room, Rica poured out her heart to Big Brother. She said that as a transexual, she has always been rejected by other people and that was why she felt she didn't belong anywhere. This, as explained by resident psychologist Randy Dellosa, has stemmed from Rica's childhood where rejection and ridicule surrounded Rica's life.
Such is the same with Sam's case. While Rica was sent to the confession room, Sam continued crying as she sat with her back to the wall of the house. Johan tried his best to comfort her but she kindly denied the help, saying she was going to be alright so there was no need to worry. Sam then turned to Rica, who returned from her talk with Big Brother, to find refuge. They talked about how lots of guys don't approach them because they were either afraid to be turned down or ridiculed by them. After they simmered down, Tibo and Paul Jake helped them both to their room. It was there where Sam and Rica apologized for their behavior during the Ball.
On the happier note of things, Big Brother announced the Christmas Ball King and Queen who unsurprisingly turned out to be Melai and Jason. They were rewarded with a date in the outside world. Blindfolded and holding hands, the two sat in the van on their way to the secret place. They didn't know where they were going or where they were until they removed their blindfolds. Once they did, they found out that Big Brother has them seated in a Ferris wheel up in the air! Was there anymore exciting than that?
After their date and right when they got home, Big Brother asked Melai and Jason in the confession room on how their date went. They were shy in admitting that the date felt more intimate and romantic than friendly. Later on, Big Brother cheered them on to give each other a kiss, but only if they wanted to. Jason eagerly planted one on Melai's cheek while Melai took a long time before she kissed Jason's left cheek. For sure, that night's one they're going to remember for a long long time!
