Last housemate standing!

Only three remained to battle it out for the assured slot in the Big Four. Outfitted in shiny hooded cloaks, the three housemates prepared for their final task that would decide their fate. Kuya announced their entrance to the poolside area as if it were Manny Pacquaio entering the ring; such was the gravity of their last challenge for the week. He welcomed Paul Jake “Jiggling” Castillo who was cloaked in red, Melisa “Inday Cactus” Cantiveros in yellow silk, and Tibo “Man of Steel” Jumalon in glittery white. With Yuri, Jason and Kath serving as their personal assistants respectively, the game was set to begin.

Before Melai stepped into the pool, Jason gave her a quick peck for good luck. The two never failed to supply the rest with reasons to giggle. Just last night, Jason showed his prowess at learning a foreign language by expressing his feelings towards Melai in Spanish. He capped this off with a Spanish song, both courtesy of Kath. If not with Jason, Melai busied herself with spending quality time with BFF Rica. Lazy afternoons were spent practicing Melai’s celebrity wave, with Rica dishing out various scenarios. To lull themselves to sleep, the two practiced spelling and also played around with the Sony videocam.

It would take more than laughter to get through the next task, though. Compared to the other tasks, this one was fairly simple: the three contenders had to stand on a platform in the middle of the pool for as long as they could. Only their feet could be on the raised platforms, and the moment they left their spot, they also gave up their chance at the advanced Big Four slot. Bathroom breaks, meals and everything else had to be done from their respective places. Looks like all three could do with a page from Patrick’s book, huh?

Each employed different strategies. Tibo instantly wore his shirt, and chose to stand straight most of the time. Paul Jake massaged his knees every now and then, pausing to crouch as Melai did. Melai distracted herself by singing and stretching her legs every so often. The other housemates kept watch nearby, keeping them company by chattering away. Mariel promised to cheer them on in case they felt drowsy.

Who will be the last housemate standing? Keep watching vigilantly to find out! In the meantime, amuse yourselves with Melai’s antics and eavesdrop on Princess’ difficulty in talking with Mariel tonight on PBB Double Up Primetime.
