ABS-CBN.com Thursday, October 15, 2009 Kenny and Toffi Santos talk about their ‘Pinoy Big Brother Double Up’ experience
Though they only spent a week inside Kuya’s house, twin brothers Kenny and Toffi Santos said that they would never forget their experience being a part of Pinoy Big Brother Double Up. In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN.com, Kenny and Toffi shared that they had a great time with the task given to them by Big Brother where they had to occasionally trade places in the two houses and pretend that they were just one person.
Toffi confessed to ABS-CBN.com that the last time he and his twin staged a similar ploy was when they were still in grade school.
During their first switch, Kenny and Toffi immediately aroused the suspicion of the girls in House B. The girls easily noticed that Toffi is taller and that Kenny had a fuller moustache. Toffi believes that it is natural for the girls to pay more attention to such small details. “Kasi sa house na puro girls, much of their attention nakatuon sa aming dalawang guys.
Among the girls in House B, it was Melisa Cantiveros who had a crush on Toffi. The bubbly girl from General Santos was very attentive whenever Kenny would get inside the house and pose as Toffi. Toffi added that he feels flattered that a funny girl like Melisa has a crush on him.
Because they failed in the task, Kenny and Toffi were Force Evicted from the house. But the two said that they don’t have any regrets about their short-lived stay as Double Up housemates because they know they have given their best in the task assigned to them. Kenny thanked all the fans who are requesting that they be brought back inside the house for another shot at the reality TV series. They said that they would love to come back to the house anytime and they are up for whatever new task Big Brother would give them.
But until then, the 20-year-old Santos twins can enjoy their newfound fame in the outside world. Toffi confessed that he gets surprised whenever people on the street would recognize him and his brother.
Kenny and Toffi are both varsity basketball players in their college. When they were younger, their relatives would often encourage them to give showbiz a try. As toddlers, their parents let them audition as talents for a milk commercial. They didn’t pass the audition though, and the roles went to then child stars Richard and Raymond Gutierrez who are also twins. Now that PBB had made them celebrities, Kenny and Toffi are open to trying out any opportunities in showbiz. The two admitted to be having big crushes on PBB hosts Toni Gonzaga, Bianca Gonzalez, and Mariel Rodriguez.
Kenny also shared with ABS-CBN.com the important value the brothers learned during their one-week stay as housemates.
You can chat with Kenny and Toffi plus PBB’s second set of twins JP and JM Lagumbay this Friday, October 16 at 3 pm (Philippine time) in the Kapamilya Chat Room on www.ABS-CBN.com
