First Day, First Love!

Aside from the twins, the two groups of housemates remain unaware of each other’s existence. Their first day in Kuya’s house was quite relaxed. With no task yet, the housemates spent the day laughing and talking about random things. Nothing too personal for now, just light and friendly bonding. Of course, they couldn’t help but speculate about the double up surprises in store for them. The existence of a twin house was not a big mystery, but what it contained remained a secret. They have formed several guesses: other housemates, non-housemates, twins, swaps, observations. After some time, they decided to adapt a “come what may” attitude and busied themselves with sharing thoughts and anecdotes. The housemates were eager to form shared experiences, and small talk seemed like the best first step.

Princess, the lone girl in House A, seems to have triggered chivalry in the six boys. They put their best foot forward and were taking on chores such as washing dishes and cleaning up. Good boys that they were, they also remembered to offer prayers before eating. Girls outnumbered boys, 5 to 2, in House B. Of all the girls, one stood out, keeping the others doubled-up in fits of laughter. Inday Kenkay, or Melai, entertained her housemates with her brand of English monologues. Her winning piece was when she targeted her comments towards Toffi. By the end of the exchange, the two were calling each other “baby”, to the delight of the others who happily added to the story of the budding love team.
