First Nomination Night puts Carol, Jason, Jimson and Princess in hot water

It’s the first nomination night for the season! Though it won’t be the first time that the housemates will experience a loss, it will be their first to experience a goodbye through peer nomination and popular vote. Try as they might, the reality that this is a competition has started to sink in. From having to nominate a housemate to explaining their choice, each one had a hand in the other’s fate. When push comes to shove, how will each housemate react?

A recap of the week showed the romances that were quickly formed and dissolved within the house. Patria developed a major crush on Hermes, as did Johan with Cathy and Rica with Rob. Jimson and Kat continued to struggle with their marriage. House A won another weekly task, while House B was saved only by Patrick’s sacrifice. Housemates gave up a number of their belongings and packed relief goods for the typhoon victims, all of which were distributed by ex-housemates JM, JP, Kenny and Toffi. Several violations were committed, including that of Mariel and Yhel who forgot that no conversation could be hidden.

Due to the gravity of the moment, Toni talked to both houses simultaneously. The nominees were the top two nominees of each house. In each house, one female and one male were nominated for the top two spots. Princess and Jason were the top picks for House A. Quite a number of the housemates found Princess too aggressive and she ended up with 6 points. Jason’s lack of effort in reaching out to the rest cost him 7 votes. The nominees for House B were Carol and Jimson. Carol’s naivete worked against her and got her 5 points. Jimson’s distance from the others and the fact that half of a couple will still remain cost him 10 points.

Princess and Jason were quick to accept their fate, and did not express too much despite their nomination. Princess just made a shout-out to her friends to give her a helping hand. True to form, Jason leaves his fate up to the viewers with his “bahala na” attitude. Carol and Jimson were more expressive, both being moved to tears. Carol broke down, yet managed to explain that she still had something to prove inside the house. Jimson tried his best to control himself as he asks for support. He believes more time within the house would strengthen his relationship with his wife.

Now that nominations are out in the open, will the housemates be able to relate to each other in the same way again? Friendships may become alliances, idle talk may turn to rumor-mongering as the issue of survival becomes apparent. Who among the four housemates will get your vote? CAROL, JASON, JIMSON and PRINCESS are all in danger of getting shipped out of the house.

Who deserves another week in the house? It’s your call, Kapamilya. Voting is now open! Just text BB and send it to 2331 for Globe, TM, Sun Cellular and Bayan Wireless Landline or 231 for Smart and Talk N Text.
