Ex-PBB housemate Carol Batay on Paul Jake Castillo: 'Kung single siya siguro ika-crush ko na talaga siya'!

Evicted Pinoy Big Brother Double Up housemate Carol Batay has been very honest about having “no boyfriend since birth.” Although she comes from a conservative Born Again Christian Chinese family, the 22-year-old teacher never had any hesitation in expressing her feelings inside the PBB house, especially in her admiration of the guy housemates. In an interview with ABS-CBN.com, Carol shared the qualities she loved about housemate Paul Jake Castillo. “Na-touch ako nung lumipat ako from House B papunta sa kanila sa House A. He was very gentleman to me. ‘Carol, upo ka.’ ‘Carol, here’s some food.’ Gusto ko ‘yung mga guys na sweet. Lagi rin niya akong kino-comfort. Also kasi may Chinese blood siya e type ko 'yun.”
However, Carol clarified that she only saw the cutie Cebuano housemate as a brother. “Ang tawag ko sa kanya ‘kuya’ in Chinese. Ganun lang ‘yun, parang brother na I can rely on. Sinabi ko sa kanya na his girlfriend is very lucky to have him because he is so faithful. Brother lang talaga ang turing ko sa kanya, pero kung single siya siguro ika-crush ko na talaga siya.”

Ex-PBB housemate Carol Batay: 'Iba-iba ang definition ng flirt'!

Carol Batay’s stint on Pinoy Big Brother Double Up had its share of controversies. The 22-year-old Fil-Chinese Born Again Christian was introduced to viewers as the conservative type, but as weeks passed she ended up doing things that shocked many viewers. In an interview with ABS-CBN.com, the ex-housemate explained why she considers herself the conservative type. “Conservative ako in the sense that ayokong magsuot ng mga revealing clothes. Sa Fan Dance ayoko talagang mag-T-back. Nung synchronize swimming nag-shorts ako pero sabi ni Sam (Pinto) bawal. Nag-doble-doble na lang ako ng suot. That’s how I am conservative. Pero that doesn’t mean hindi na ako marunong mag-enjoy at mag-express ng feelings ko. I think kahit anong gawin ko may masasabi talaga ang iba. Kapag conservative naiinis ‘yung mga tao. Kapag masyadong outgoing naman nalalandian na ‘yung iba. Ano ba talaga ang gusto niyong gawin ko?”
Carol also clarified about her show of affection towards the guy housemates that many deemed as flirtation. “Iba-iba ang definition ng flirt. Being sweet and flirty are two different things for me. Some people might misinterpret the two. For me, ang flirting is may sexual motive ka na sa actions mo. Ako sweet lang ako because I was just playing around. I just want to be funny with my housemates. That was just how I showed my sweetness sa kanila. Kung sa ibang tao flirt ang tingin nila sa akin wala akong magagawa. Sa mga boys kung i-hug ko man sila parang kuya lang talaga. Hanggang yakap o akbay lang ako sa mga boys but not kiss.”

Ex-PBB housemate Carol Batay: 'Walang kinalaman 'yung observation ko kay Cathy sa issue namin ni Hermes'!

Carol Batay was evicted from Pinoy Big Brother Double Up before she could settle things with housemate Cathy Remperas. In the previous week, Carol expressed her negative observations and uneasy feelings toward Cathy. ABS-CBN.com then interviewed Carol to clarify the issue. “Observation lang naman ang akin, bahala na ang taong mag-isip kung para sa kanila e paninira ‘yun. Sabi ko nga kay Rica (Paras) ayokong sabihin talaga sa kanya pero naisip ko kapag hindi ko naman sinabi baka mag-burst naman ako. Na-notice ko na dati kasi very close kami. Pero nung nag-merge na, mas naging close siya sa mga girls from House B. Sila na ang lagi niyang kasama. Naisip ko baka gusto niya talagang kasama sina Sam (Pinto) at Mariel (Soriño) kasi they’re all very pretty samantalang kami nina Melisa (Cantiveros) parang mga bata. Pero kung choice niya ‘yun okay lang naman. Sad lang dahil hindi na niya kami nasasamahan.”

Matapos ang Eviction Night, pinag-usapan nila Tibo, Hermes at Jason ang pag-alis ng ni Carol. Namention nila ang pagiging iyakin nito, lalo na 'pag may nasasabi tungkol sa kanya. Pero kahit papano, alam naman nating lahat na mamimiss nila si Carol.

Carol goes out of the house as a stronger person!

Indian housemate Harish continued to be hard on the housemates, pushing them to be frustrated with him. While seated at the dining table, Paul Jake told Harish off in front of his fellow housemates. In reply, Harish - after all, in an act - appeared not to know what the problem was between them. He explained he only wanted them to stop fooling around and follow his instructions for the dance. Exasperated, Rica answered him with: "You're teaching us (about) listening but you're not listening to us." No words have been spoken truer. That is, if only the whole act of Harish was real.

Meet Carol, Kuya's labandera!

With Christmas fast approaching, Big Brother is giving his housemates their much requested gifts for the Holidays. But knowing Kuya, there is always the added twist to this things. He employed the help of Hermes, Patrick, and Johan who acts as the Three Kings of Christmas in bringing the special gifts to the housemates. For today, Carol was given the task of washing the clothes of all the housemates but while they are still wearing it. If she aces this task, she will receive her much requested Christmas gift which is a washing machine.

Sam, Carol, Patrick and Hermes top the list for the 8th Nomination Night!

Kuya’s surprise nomination twist did not end with Carol branding an automatic three points on Hermes’ forehead. This week’s nominations had a time limit, where the housemates had to squeeze in all their votes and comments into fifteen minutes. In this, Kuya hoped to check their ability to make decisions under pressure. All had to have a turn, or else risk being automatically nominated. Fortunately, they were able to manage their time well and all were unscathed, at least as far as that way goes.

Carol marks Hermes with 3 points of shame!

For this week, Big Brother reveals a rather “shocking” news. In line with the special announcement regarding an upcoming battle for the “Head of the Household” title, Big Brother introduces the “Wire Game Challenge” to all his housemates. On the said challenge, each housemate is required to swiftly glide a ring through an obstacle line; and it is truly important that the two objects would avoid contact because aside from a mere buzz indicating the end of the playing housemate’s turn, all his or her other housemates inside the house will also feel the tingle of electricity run through their body once the two objects meet.

The housemates try their hand at acting in today’s “Luhati” game!

With the weekly task reaching its end yesterday, today’s game was a friendly challenge within those in the same house. Called “Luhati”, the housemates were grouped in pairs and they had to tear up while smiling. The game had three rounds: eliminations, semis, and the finals.

Malamig nanaman ang Pasko ni Carol!

Hindi pa nagsisimula si Carol ng turn niya, naluluha na agad siya. Very ordinary daw kasi ang Christmas niya, not so much to share. Aside from the typical reunion on her mom's side during the 24th, wala nang masyadong celebration. May time pa nga na wala 'yung mom niya dahil nagttrabaho sa taiwan ng Pasko. Dec. 25 naman, nandun sila sa sode ng dad niya.

House A and House B are finally feeling the rush of competition!

The competition is growing pretty tough between the two warring houses. After the second match for this week’s “O-versus,” House A and House B’s conflict grow more apparent than before. With regard Yuri and Carol’s controversial one-on-one match, certain issues failed to remain unnoticed. In House A, Carol of House B’s sensitivity has been their constant topic. Yuri herself admits, though she feels for the timid young lady, that she is somehow annoyed with Carol’s constant emotional outbursts. On the other hand, while the other house’s housemates continuously criticize Carol’s weakness, House B tries releasing their angst by comically mimicking Yuri.

Bonding time sina Carol at Patrick. Isa si Patrick sa mga ka-close ni Carol dati, at sa sobrang appreciation ni Carol sa kanya, itinago pa niya yung mga wrappers ng chocnut na bigay ni patrick sa kanya. Nagkakwentuhan ang dalawa sa feeling kapag na-nominate at kapag na-save.

On Uber: Human Tick-Tack-Toe!

The new House B played a fun game of tick-tack-toe live on this afternoon’s Uber episode. But as an added twist to this popular board game, the housemates had to mark their spots on the giant board by lying on squares. The Circle Blue team was made up of Rob, Cathy, Rica, and Rocky while the X Red team included Hermes, Melisa, Carol, and Patrick. The team to make a straight or diagonal mark will score a point, and the winning group will earn a special reward from Big Brother.

Melai breaks down and Rica declares Carol to be the strong one!

“Even the best fall down sometimes…” or so the song goes. The two housemates who seemed the strongest, who were able to withstand the pressure and strain of being inside the PBB house, have finally succumbed to tears.

Melai, who was the constant source of laughter in the house, broke down in tears as she shared her feelings of loneliness to Rica. Not only has she it been a struggle to enjoy herself, she has also grown averse to music, as it made her remember happier times in the other house. Right after she stated this, strains of “Unang Halik” played in the background. At this, Melai finally gave a name to her feelings for Jason: love. Much as she tried to ignore it, there it was, staring her in the face. Melai laughed, remembering that she was not really secluded. She was, in fact, visible to the whole world. Seesawing between laughter and melancholy, Melai sat by the pool with Rica.
