Jason, Johan, Tibo, Paul Jake and Melisa feel the Big 5 vibe!

It began with the announcement that lifted a big weight off their chests: they were all winners! No one was going to get booted out, and they could all rest knowing that when they step out of the house, they would leave as one of the Big 5. Jason, Melisa, Paul Jake, Johan and Tibo indulged in a private concert to celebrate the news. Celebrity ex-housemate Macoy Fundales jammed with them, while Kuya provided them with drinks and finger food. This, in fact, was just the front act of a series of performances, this time by the Big 5 themselves!

Big Brother's Big Reveal for the Big Five!

Just like how they say that all promises are meant to be broken, most secrets are also meant to be revealed! And this is what we saw during the live episode of tonight's PBB Double Up where Big Brother delivered the great news to the Big Five namely Melai, Paul Jake, Tibo, Johan and Jason - that they were all going to make it to the Big Night!

The boys play dress-up1

Now that she’s out of Kuya’s house, ex-housemate Mariel had to come to terms with the fact that not only was she out of the running for the top slots, but that she was the house’s last evictee of the season. She couldn’t help showing her dismay. “Isang step nalang pala,” she sighed on Uber. She was fine with her fate, though, and was able to look back on her experience with fondness. Her most memorable experience was her special Christmas gift: a visit with her baby boy, Asher. Like so many, she also was rooting for Melisa as Big Winner. Primarily because they were both Visayan, the last two girls did not find it that difficult to relate to each other. Melisa’s easy-going nature and ability to bring happiness along also were plus points.
The day before the final eviction (which turned out to be Mariel’s despidida of sorts), Kuya treated the housemates to a drinking session by the pool. No frills, just simple finger food and a single bottle of beer. Melisa was urged on by the others to ask Kuya for more alcohol. Kuya’s response was reminiscent of the prankster Big Utol. They got their request, all right, except all the bottles were empty!

Somewhat similar to a daddy-daughter bonding ang nagaganap ngayon sa House A kung san nagsestay sina Tibo at Melai. Ba, todo kwento kase si Papa Tibs kay Melai tungkol sa naging love story niya at ng kanyang asawa at nagbibigay siya ng suggestions kay Melai about naman sa "blossoming relationship" nito with Jason.

Tidbit #8: Princess is not the sole collector of the group, Patria is too! Her collection is of the simpler kind, though. House B’s original comedienne had a collection of tissue papers from the different food chains that she was able to dine in as a med rep.

Father and son reunite!

As someone who had lost touch with his father and was a father himself, Tibo openly accepted the sacrifice Big Brother asked him to do for Johan. And though the sacrifice may have looked easier compared to the other sacrifices such as Paul Jake's and Jason's, Tibo's was way more painful. Imagine, the hair from his one underarm was cut and threaded! It was not a habitual activity that was part of a man's at all! Thanks to his unwavering determination, he got through the sore process he underwent upon the hands of the hair threader. Also fortunately, he didn't have to know that the housemates were actually watching his grimaces while it was being done through the plasma TV in the living room!

Though obviously still competing with each other, the relationships formed between the housemates went beyond the prizes at stake. Tibo, Jason and Paul Jake were all willing to make sacrifices for their other housemates to tie up some loose ends.
