Ex-PBB housemate Mariel Soriño has nothing against Princess Manzon!

Feisty lady housemates Mariel Soriño and Princess Manzon almost broke into a catfight during the Resbak Attack weekly task that pitted the official housemates against the ex-housemates. Princess was very aggressive in her attempt to destroy the domino tower of the housemates, but Mariel bravely tried to stop her and lead her to the exit. In an interview with ABS-CBN.com, Mariel revealed that she knew that Princess was only acting according to the task given by Big Brother. “Alam ko may tasks talaga ang mga ex-housemates na gusto nilang basagin ‘yung mga eggs at ‘yung torre. Nung nagsalita na si Princess ng mga masasakit na bagay alam ko talaga na strategy lang niya ‘yun so hindi ko masyado pinapatulan. Pero nung binabato na niya ‘yung torre inawat ko lang siya.”

Mariel steps out from the Big Brother house as the last evictee!

So near yet so far" must have been Mariel's destiny regarding her chance on winning the Big Winner title. True, she was so close to owning it just that, the people had their eyes set for the other housemates. This showed in the disappointing percentage of votes (3.34%) she received that caused her eviction.
Entering the house dubbed as the struggling mom from Davao, Mariel bared all to her housemates about being a single mom impregnated by a married man. But her predicament didn't hinder her in showing the lengths of her strengths. Instead, this even pushed her to the limits. No task was too hard for her, such as when she got into a cat fight with Princess during the resback attack week or when she met up with Paul (father of her son Asher) to talk about their familial issues.

A touching reunion for Mariel and the father of her son!

"Galing ako sa broken family (kaya) ayaw ko na broken din yung magiging family ko (I came from a broken family so naturally I wouldn't want that to happen to my own family)" were the strong words that came out of Mariel's mouth during one of the more serious conversations she had with Big Brother inside the confession room.

Paul Jake's heroic act of kindness for Mariel!

Only less than two weeks left until the Big Night but Big Brother's surprises are simply unstoppable. For instance, one of those for this week fell unto Paul Jake, who was asked to make a sacrifice for his housemate and now also friend Mariel. The task was that he was to follow Mariel's reactions to ten situations that Big Brother will give out. Without hesitation, he accepted the challenge and assuring Big Brother that he will do his best. And if he will be able to deliver, Mariel would be given the opportunity to straighten things out with Paul, who is the father of her son Asher, whom she have had a messy relationship with.

Mariel is the people’s choice for Princess’ new BFF!

The last of this week’s group games happened today. Entitled “Hit Me”, the housemates were faced with a humongous circular board with several holes on them with each having corresponding points. With one housemate spread-eagled on the board and others shooting with water guns, one team member would try to hit the holes with water balloons to gain as much points as possible. Team Paul Jake already had the win by getting 2 of 3 games yesterday. Did Team Johan manage to win this one and grant one team member a shot at the automatic Big 4 slot?

Game over, housemates!

The second face-off between the housemates and the ex-housemates happened through another 45k-worth of game which followed the pattern of the magician's magic cups. The ex-housemates were to hide inside life-sized boxes and shuffle themselves while the housemates chose which of them contained the respective ex-housemates Big Brother assigned them to find. Jason played first and was successful in picking the boxes which contained Delio, Kenny and Princess. So was the same with Tibo and Mariel who each guessed correctly with their selection, which were Rica, Princess and Rob and Patrick, Princess and Yuri respectively. Melai, however, failed to name the housemate -which was Ron - inside one of her chosen boxes correctly. As a consequence, she got sprayed on the face with a foamy shaving cream. The game went on until Big Brother gave out the result: the housemates once again failed to earn the victory.

The real world strikes back!

The Head of House is such a privileged post, especially with the season drawing nearer to its end. With this, the HoH challenge has become harder, if only because it has dipped deeper into the character and relationships of the remaining eight. For this week’s HoH challenge, the housemates were stationed in the activity area with a bucket of slime each. Each will pour slime over the housemate whom they think is the one who most exhibits a particular bad trait. The correct answer was flashed on the plasma screen, based on an earlier survey answered by the housemates themselves.
