Mission complete for the Kuya's Darlings!

One word to wholly describe how the Kuya's Darlings did with the special tasks Big Brother asked them to deliver inside his house? Accomplished, that's what.

Just imagine how difficult it was for Princess, Rica and Yuri to return inside the house again and pose as "new old housemates." For one, they had to pretend they were still in it for the game. Another thing was that they had to be real careful on not being caught that they were just faking. And one more thing? They had to gain the trust of their housemates and rekindle friendships and other kinds of ties with them. Since, after all, they couldn't blame the housemates for not trusting them anymore after what they did during the Resbak Attack Week two weeks back. All in all, still a tough task to undergo, right?

Ex-PBB housemate Cathy Remperas speaks up about Rica Paras and Paul Jake Castillo!

In her reunion with other ex-housemates as part of the Resbak Attack weekly task in Pinoy Big Brother Double Up, Cathy Remperas learned many revelations about the outside world. The first was that in Rica Paras’s interview on The Buzz, she had said that she was mad at Cathy for nominating her because she was too loud. Rica had even joked that she would shave Cathy’s head should they cross paths. Cathy, who was treated by Rica as a good friend inside Kuya’s house, recently explained to ABS-CBN.com that the nomination process is nothing personal. “Ang totoo sa loob ng bahay ang hirap talagang mag-isip ng reason tuwing nomination. That week napansin ko na sumobra na ‘yung ingay nina Rica at Melisa. ‘Yun na lang ‘yung agad kong naisip. Maingay naman talaga kasi sila. Maraming beses na sinabihan na namin sila na matulog na pero patuloy pa rin ‘yung ingay nila. I was thinking she would be mature enough na i-control ‘yung ingay niya. Also the nomination is nothing personal. For me kahit i-nominate mo ako hindi ako magagalit. Ang nomination is part of being a housemate and it won’t be a reason for me para kalimutan ko ‘yung friendship natin.”

Road trip, anyone?

With the end of the season only weeks away, the housemates realized that pretty soon, they’ll truly be parting ways. To counter this, they reverted back to their plans of seeing each other. A road trip to all their hometowns was best, though they decided it would be better to go when there was an occasion. That way, they would be able to experience the culture and eat all the yummy treats already prepared! Given tight scheds, they decided against going to all stops in a single trip. The hassle of rushing and packing would just defeat the purpose of catching up and having fun. Instead, they all agreed to just go to a few places per trip and savor the moment.

Ex-PBB housemate Rica Paras believes Melisa Cantiveros is head over heels in love with Jason Francisco!

Evicted Pinoy Big Brother Double Up housemate Rica Paras said she was sad about saying goodbye to her best friend inside Kuya’s house, Melisa Cantiveros. ABS-CBN.com interviewed Rica and asked her what she thinks is the real score between Melisa and her ka-love team in the house, Jason Francisco. “100% sure akong in-love si Melisa kay Jason. Every night nago-open up sa akin si Isay (her nickname for Melisa). Nabuking ko na ‘yung sando na iniwan ni Jason sa bag niya, nung gabi inilagay niya sa may unan niya! Nakakaloka! Tapos binigyan pa siya ni Jason ng teddy bear na laging katabi ni Isay sa pagtulog. At si Denggeh (a doll given by Big Brother), sinabi ko kay Isay na kaya niya mahal na mahal si Denggeh kasi nakikita niya sa doll si Jason. Ginagamit lang niya si Denggeh para may connection siya palagi kay Jason. Hinuhuli ko si Melisa, hindi siya makapagsalita!”

Ex-PBB housemate Rica Paras speaks up on her brush with homophobia!

Rica Paras made history by being the first transgender housemate when she joined Pinoy Big Brother Double Up. In an interview with ABS-CBN.com following her eviction, Rica confessed that there were instances when she could feel that her guy housemates were a bit of homophobic. “Pagpasok ko pa lang ramdam ko na ‘yung pagkailang ng mga boys. They couldn’t approach me. Ako na ‘yung huli nilang sinubukang kausapin. Parang last choice na nila ako palagi.”

Rica speaks of Melai and Cathy on Uber!

Rica visited the set of Uber today, the first after her eviction. As always, the goddess was all smiles and projected the confidence of a winner. Of all the housemates, she had gotten close to Melai, whom she considered her best friend and sister in the house. Rica felt flattered at the tears shed by her BFF, but also hoped that Melai would be able to regain her footing soon and have the strength to move on and fight. The two had a talk before the eviction night, where Rica stressed the importance of staying strong in the face of all the trials. Rica also hoped that Jason could lend a hand in lifting Melai’s spirits in her absence.

Ex-PBB housemate Rica Paras names the ‘best’ and ‘fake’ housemates!

Sinabi ng latest evictee ng Pinoy Big Brother Double Up na si Rica Paras na marami sa kanyang mga kakilala ang nagpahayag ng kanilang kalungkutan ng mapalabas siya sa bahay ni Kuya. “They think that I could have done better, mas marami akong pwedeng masabi and ma-contribute sa mga tao sa labas.” Gayunpaman, naniniwala si Rica na marami pa siyang magagawa sa labas ng bahay. “Pero I feel like ‘yung totoong laban ko nandito sa labas at mas marami pa akong puwedeng gawin dito sa labas and I’m very excited talaga,” ani Rica.

Rica leaves the house without tears and fears!

The new year arrived and it treated Rica Paras with its ferociousness by sending her back to the outside world. Garnering the lowest total save and evict votes (10.37%), she lost to Sam (with 15.16%), Paul Jake (with 12.55%) and Johan (with 13.47%). However, as she said, there will be no tears shed as she leaves the Big Brother house and her housemates behind.
Hailed as the math goddess from Bohol, it was no secret that Rica had an intelligent and open mind. This was why Big Brother entrusted her, along with another housemate Rob Stumvoll, with a difficult task wherein they had to pretend to be a couple upon their entrance inside the house. This clearly stirred the housemates then as some of them were prejudiced about something that Rica was: her being a transgender.
