Melai breaks down and Rica declares Carol to be the strong one!

“Even the best fall down sometimes…” or so the song goes. The two housemates who seemed the strongest, who were able to withstand the pressure and strain of being inside the PBB house, have finally succumbed to tears.

Melai, who was the constant source of laughter in the house, broke down in tears as she shared her feelings of loneliness to Rica. Not only has she it been a struggle to enjoy herself, she has also grown averse to music, as it made her remember happier times in the other house. Right after she stated this, strains of “Unang Halik” played in the background. At this, Melai finally gave a name to her feelings for Jason: love. Much as she tried to ignore it, there it was, staring her in the face. Melai laughed, remembering that she was not really secluded. She was, in fact, visible to the whole world. Seesawing between laughter and melancholy, Melai sat by the pool with Rica.



Rica allowed Melai to cry, growing teary-eyed herself as she confessed her own difficulty. Since the move, she has become emotional and quick to give in to tears. Had it been a math problem, a quiz or a physical task, all would be fine. This emotional roller coaster, though, was taking its toll on her. The melodrama was too much and enjoying herself has become a chore. She envied the strength of Carol, the one whom they thought to be weak. Carol’s ability to withstand the emotions was amazing. Her tears, often though they poured, seemed to wash away the burden and helped her survive.

The two heard laughter from within the house, yet could not bring themselves to join. Melai suggested asking Kuya for advice on how to deal with their loneliness, but Rica figured it was a personal hurdle they needed to get over with. Hearing voices from House A where the housemates were swimming, Melai decided to follow Rica back in the house instead, where she came upon Hermes. Though she was not in the mood to socialize initially, Melai could not turn away from the friendship offered by Hermes. He noticed the change in Melai, and encouraged her to talk, in the slightest chance that it might ease her feelings. To show that she was not alone in missing former housemates, Hermes showed Melai mementos of the past. Soon enough, the two were seated at the couch where the shirts of the former House B girls were displayed, with Melai settled comfortably and Hermes able to guess of Melai’s love for Jason.
