Ex-PBB housemate Yuri Okawa on Jason Francisco and Melisa Cantiveros: ‘I wish them all the luck’!

Jason Francisco and Melisa Cantiveros have become the hottest love team of Pinoy Big Brother Double Up. Many viewers are enjoying the two evolve from being housemates into intimate friends. Even evicted housemate Yuri Okawa is happy that Jason and Melisa are enjoying each other’s company inside Kuya’s house. “It’s good that they found each other na napapasaya nila ang isa’t isa. Nagpapakatotoo lang sila. Walang masama na i-enjoy nila ‘yung feeling.”



Yuri said that she wishes Jason and Melai all the best if they ever decide to continue their budding romance after PBB. “Sinabi na rin ni Jason na dapat pa rin nilang lumabas para malaman kung magiging sila nga talaga. Let’s see kung ano ang mangyayari. They’re just building a relationship pero hindi pa definite. Sana mapagpatuloy nila dito sa labas. I wish them all the luck.”

Although she admitted that all the guys inside the house were good-looking and sweet, Yuri explained why she personally doesn’t want to have romance inside Kuya’s house. “Okay lang talaga sa akin ang crush sa loob ng house. Game ako sa kulitan, harutan, asaran. Normal lang naman ‘yun. Pero sinabi ko na kasi na ayokong ma-fall in love dun kasi fantasy world ‘yun and I don’t want to fall in love in a fantasy world. Ang love naman hindiparang fairy tale. I would want to fall in love in the real world.”

This 26-year-old Fil-Japanese beauty is single at the moment, but said that a relationship is not her priority. “Open naman ako pero hindi ko kasi naging priority ang relationship. Lagi ang priority ko is family, friends, work. Gusto ko ‘yung lalaking magiging sincere sa akin. Hindi ako particular sa looks. ‘Yung may magandang buhay lang para kapag naging kami in the end e magiging okay ‘yung mga anak namin. Pero ang hirap kasi based ako sa Japan and ayoko ng long distance relationship. I’ve tried it and it didn’t work for me.”

Yuri shared that she will be staying in the Philippines for the holidays. Although unsure on how she will spend Christmas and New Year, she said she is excited to spend the holidays in Manila. “Sad kasi my mom is going back to Japan. I’ll be spending Christmas here sa Pilipinas. Hindi ko pa alam kung sino ang makakasama ko pero I’m excited because after 14 years I can finally experience ‘yung Pasko sa Pilipinas. Sana nga nagtagal pa ako sa house para kasama ko ‘yung mga housemates sa Christmas.”

Now that PBB has given her celebrity status, Yuri said she is open to showbiz projects should they come her way. She confessed she wants to meet Sam Milby who is her biggest crush. In terms of going sexy, this open-minded girl has no qualms. “Kung manamit nga ako kulang na sa tela e. I grew up in Japan and I studied in US so liberated naman ang pag-iisip ko. Pero nilalagay ko naman sa lugar ‘yung pagiging liberated ko. Kung may offer, bakit hindi? Blessing din ‘yun at dapat hindi tinatanggihan. Pero kung modeling hindi ko alam kung pwede ako kasi maliit ako. Sa singing at dancing? Lahat naman ng bagay natututunan so okay lang, ha ha ha!”
