The housemates practice flare bartending, with award-winning coaches!
The housemates had two award-winning visitors today. Ram Ong, who topped TGIF’s bartending competition this year and is the official bet of the Asia-Pacific region to the World Bartender Championship in 2010, spent the day preparing the housemates for their bartending challenge this week. With him is Ruel Ramos, the 2nd runner-up of TGIF’s 14th Annual Shake Rattle and Pour. These champion bar tenders tutored the housemates on the ins and outs of flare bartending, from tossing bottles to mixing drinks. At the end of the week, the housemates’ skills would be tested in a flare bartending performance.
This bartending challenge would be the first one that they’d be facing as one team. The “Luhati” challenge was the last one they played, where the housemates had to shed tears while smiling. Sam bested the rest of House A’s group, while Melai topped the list in House B.
To while the time away, the housemates had to come up with varied ways to keep busy. Melai, Carol and Rica modeled garden tools and walked the imaginary catwalk with their “designer”, Patrick. It is always entertaining to watch Melai and Rica exchange lines, finding a comic situation even in pretending to wait by a shed.
Jason’s apparent odor was made into a serious joke by Paul Jake and Tibo, who pointed out Jason’s lack of hygiene. Unsure whether to take their comments seriously, Jason asks for the girls’ opinions. Surprisingly, they did not share the boys’ opinion, though all agreed that a bath was long overdue. Was this because he missed Melai so much? At some point, he mentioned that he wanted to run amok, but settled for a hand massage instead. Spaced out, Jason would hum “can’t Take My Eyes Off You”, a faint reminder of his special someone.
It was about time that he made his move, which he did by taking Melai on a picnic date. It was no simple feat, with ninja moves and a baring of emotions involved. Watch out for the full story on PBB Double Up Primetime tonight, where the two admit to having mutual attraction and… love? Watch Yuri on Uber tomorrow, and support the budding career of Tom on PHR’s My Cheating Heart, which aired its pilot episode today.
