Jason, Melai undergo tests of character!

It is not often that housemates confide to Big Brother about feeling guilty of their nominations. But Melai, as always, surpasses from this norm. After Patrick's eviction, she spoke to Big Brother on how she felt a tugging in her conscience for being one of the reasons why Patrick had to leave the house. She said it was one thing to nominate a housemate but it was another thing to actually see that housemate go.
Rooting from this, an idea sprang to Big Brother's mind. He gave Melai a proposition that if she really felt guilty and wanted Patrick to come back inside the house, she would take his place as the evictee. This, of course, was a difficult decision for Melai to make. It was either to follow her heart and take on the journey or forget about it and be selfless instead. What she didn't know, on the other hand, was it was only a test of character that Big Brother was giving her. He only wanted to see how true Melai could be to herself.

So to carry it out, Big Brother asked Paul Jake and Rica to be in on the test too. Both of them had to act for Melai's benefit, so she would believe that Big Brother was indeed serious about his proposition. They even were given the task to pull out Melai's and Patrick's luggages from the storage room so the other housemates could see the "authenticity" of the situation. But the others were wary of it. Gathered around the dining area, each of them pitched in their opinions to Melai. They told her it was not fair for her to leave the house since it was already decided that Patrick was last week's evictee.

With hers and Patrick's luggage on her heels, Melai gave Big Brother her final decision in the confession room and it was for her, not Patrick, to continue to stay inside the house. "Nakapagdesisyon na ako na masaya ako dito (I have already decided that I am happy here)," she said. "Minsan lang ang buhay ng tao, kaya dun na ako sa kung saan ako masaya (A person only lives once so I should be where I'm happy)." It was then that Big Brother asked her to open Patrick's luggage. And boy, was she surprised to find out that it only contained curtains in different colors. It quickly dawned on her that she has just undergone a test of character and was so relieved that the challenge was not real. She told Big Brother jokingly that if ever it were true, she won't be able to go up and visit Baguio anymore, which is Patrick's hometown, because of her decision.

Meanwhile, under Big Brother's supervision, the Three Kings - now turned into Two Kings without Patrick - resurfaced. Hermes and Johan still had to give gifts to Jason and Mariel. This time was Jason's turn first and he was shown a Sinski tricycle as a present. However, King Hermes said that for him to be able to get the tricycle, Jason must initially accept the condition Big Brother has set for him. It turned out he had to play as the house servant to his housemates for four days.

Jason's first day as the house servant hit him hard. It was mostly because his "Senorito" Paul Jake and "Senoritas" Rica, Melai and Sam were so strict in giving him orders. But it was Big Brother's idea for them to act that way because he wanted them to teach Jason the importance of discipline. So even if Paul Jake felt bad doing it, as he said to Big Brother later on in the confession room, he had to do it for Jason's sake.

But after long hours of serving his housemates, Jason turned to Melai for support and understanding. He told her he was upset with them because they were piling him up with too many household chores. "Hindi naman dapat ganito ang trato sa kasambahay (This is not the way a house servant shoud be treated)," he told Melai. "Sobra naman sila (They are too much)." But will Jason just give up that easily? What about the tricycle he could give his family for their livelihood? Find out if he can make it to the rest of his servant days by watching PBB Double Up every night.
