Ex-PBB housemate Patrick Villanueva thinks Jason Francisco is ‘strategizing’!

In an interview with ABS-CBN.com following his eviction from Pinoy Big Brother Double Up, Patrick Villanueva explained why he found it hard to relate with the other 20-something housemates, something which led to him to become distant and quiet. “Hindi maaiiwasan na problem ‘yung age gap. Ayoko rin naman ipilit. Ayoko rin magmarunong o magmagaling, kasi lahat naman kami may sariling opinion. May mga topics na hindi ako maka-relate and ganoon din sila sa akin. Ilan lang ‘yung naka-bond ko, like sina Carol (Batay), Yuri (Okawa) and Tom (Rodriguez). Unfortunately nauna silang lahat umalis.”



The 32-year-old bank credit officer from Baguio, who is married with two kids, earned the monicker “Daddy Pat” from his housemates, which suited him just fine. “Okay din ‘yung responsibility na ‘yun. Sa mga housemates ko parang naging daddy talaga ako lalo na kay Carol.” But contrary to being on good terms with the other housemates, Patrick was nominated for eviction several times, hence he wasn’t surprised when he was eventually voted out. “It’s a game pa din, pero nakakalungkot na you have to leave earlier than expected. Ako rin naman nag-nonominate. Wala ka dapat tampo na ma-nominate ka. Hindi lang naman ikaw ang nominated, may two o three ka pa na kasama. I just took every nomination as a challenge.”

The former housemate seemed to have nothing bad to say about his PBB friends. However, when asked who among the remaining housemates does he think is strategizing to gain the public’s support, he named Jason Francisco who is known for his love team with Melisa Cantiveros. “Kahit tutulog-tulog si Jason, kapag lumapit na si Melisa magre-react na siya. Alam niyang nasa kanila na ‘yung limelight.” He added that he believes Melisa is genuinely attracted to Jason, but he remains doubtful about Jason’s intentions with Melisa.

But Patrick was quick to justify that coming up with a strategy is inevitable for any housemate. “Wala naman talagang nagiging plastic doon. Pero kasi you have to strategize lang talaga, sa actions at words mo. Hindi naman siguro masama magkaroon ng plano sa kung anumang gagawin for the week.”

Patrick remains thankful for his PBB experience and is excited to see what’s in store for him in the outside world. For future housemates, he advised, “Pataba muna kayo. Galingan ninyo, ‘wag patalo at ‘wag mang-aaway.”
