Ex-PBB housemate Cathy Remperas looks back on her experience in ‘Big Brother Finland’!

Cathy Remperas bested her Pinoy Big Brother Double Up housemates for a chance to represent the Philippines in the Big Swap with Big Brother Finland. Cathy went to Finland and lived in their Big Brother house for one week while Finnish housemate Katlin Laas came to Kuya’s house and bonded with the Pinoy housemates. In a recent conversation with ABS-CBN.com following her eviction, Cathy shared that the Big Swap was one event in her life that she will forever treasure. “First time kong nakakita ng snow. Wow! Ang dami kong first time experiences. First trip outside the country, first trip sa Europe. Naiisip ko na ang swerte swerte ko kasi kahit wala ako ni piso nakapunta pa rin ako ng Europe. Dream ko kasi ‘yung nung bata pa ako.”



The 23-year-old nurse from Bohol was thankful that Kuya gave her the chance to get to bond with the Finnish housemates whom she described as very hospitable just like us Filipinos. “Madami akong hindi makakalimutan sa experience na ‘yun. Ang sabi kasi sa akin baka mga suplado daw ang mga Finnish, na hindi daw sila welcoming at hindi pala ngiti. Pero pagdating ko sobrang init ng pagtanggap nila sa akin. Hospitable sila na para ring mga Pinoy. Hindi nila ako hinahayaang mag-isa. Niyayaya nila akong umupo sa tabi nila. Touching kasi napaiyak sila nung paalis na ako. Naramdaman ko na minahal talaga nila ako.”

But Cathy was so shocked that in one instance she saw two Finnish housemates doing kinky things under the sheets, unmindful that there were people watching them and there were cameras around the house. “Nagme-make out yata sila sa ilalim ng kumot. Si Sara at si Sammy. Parang normal na sa kanila ‘yun kasi pagdating ko dun napansin ko na maraming condoms na nakakalat. Nung may napansin sila sa ilalim ng kumot tinawag nila ako, pinanonood namin. Dati naman aware pa ako na sa Big Brother sa Europe normal na ‘yung nagse-sex sa loob ng bahay. Pero hindi lang ako ready na makakakita in person.”

During her stay in Big Brother Finland, Cathy became close with a Finnish housemate named Aso who later became the Big Winner of their season. Cathy said she is still unsure if Aso was hitting on her during the time they became close. “Si Aso kasi ‘yung romantic dun. Pero lagi rin niya akong inaasar, ‘Cathy, I want to spoon you!’ o minsan, ‘Cathy, go to the masturbation room!’ Ganun lang ‘yung lambing niya sa akin. Short time lang kasi ang stay ko roon kaya hindi ko masabi kung may meaning ba ‘yung ginagawa niya sa akin. But I’m very happy na siya ang naging Big Winner.”

Now that she’s back outside, Cathy has become a popular face because of PBB Double Up. As lots of fans flock around her for an autograph or picture, this beautiful Boholana said she is open into giving showbiz a try. “Sumali ako ng mga beauty pageants dati pero hindi ko naisip na pwede itong mukha ko sa TV na pang-artista. Okay lang akong subukan kung may mga magagandang opportunities. Gusto ko rin i-try ang acting. Sa modeling baka hindi ako pwede sa runway kasi hindi ako masyadong matangkad. Marunong naman akong sumayaw. Kapag sa beauty pageants lagi kong talent ballroom dancing. Marunong ako ng mga Latin dances at tango. Kaya ko rin siguro mag hip-hop. Pwede naman akong kumanta tulad nung sa New Year’s Concert namin.”

When asked which famous actor would she want as leading man, she mentioned the young hunk of Paano Na Kaya and Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo Gerald Anderson. “Crush ko talaga si Gerald! Ang saya saya ko kasi na-meet ko sila nung nag-guest kami lahat sa The Buzz. Ang gwapo niya, sobra! Kiniss niya ako sa cheeks. Kinikilig pa rin ako. Sana maka-work ko siya pero kaya lang mas bata siya sa akin.”

Although she has a pretty face and slender body to flaunt, Cathy has made up her mind not to go sexy in showbiz. “Hindi ko talaga gusto ang magpa-sexy. Kung hindi na siguro ako pwede sa showbiz mag-nurse na lang ako. May career pa naman akong pupuntahan so okay lang kung hindi ako palarin sa showbiz.”
