The search is on for the season’s Big 5!

The entire season had been full of surprises: from the addition of another houseful of housemates to tons of celebrity visits, controversial challenges to a dual voting system. It should actually be of no big surprise that the season was bound to end with a double up bang as well. For the first time in PBB history, another housemate will be able to share the stage as this season’s fifth big placer. He/She will be entitled to a P 100,000 cash prize, a Sony Vaio laptop, and a P 100,000 donation to his/her chosen charity.

With the eviction of Kath and the exit of Kuya’s Darlings yesterday, only 6 housemates remained. Of these, only Melisa was assured a spot on the Big 5, after she won the Big Jump to the Big Night challenge. She bested Tibo and Paul Jake in the endurance task that required them to stand for an unlimited number of hours atop a small platform. 11 hours and a one-leg pose after, Melisa was proclaimed the rightful champ. Because of this, she was no longer part of the nomination list.

A big part of her stay inside the PBB house was the blooming relationship she shared with Jason. He was her coach for the task that guaranteed her a slot in the finals, and shared her tension during the said task. Before Kuya’s Darlings left, they took the liberty of hiding some of the housemate’s things, and a search for Jason’s wallet (which was not even one of the things they hid) pushed Melason to the limit. Melisa found Jason’s wallet and refused to return it, instead choosing to rummage through it and even shared the contents with Kath. This irked Jason to the point that Kuya had to step in to remedy the friction, reminding Jason that there was always a peaceful way to resolve things. Likewise, he reminded Melisa that people’s private belongings have to be respected and warned her against pushing others to the limit. Despite the long sermon, the friction between the two continued, resulting in a sharp exchange of words. Melisa refused to apologize, and Jason couldn’t see the reason why she acted like she expected him to be the one to do so. Of course, all’s well that ends well, and the two still managed to resolve their differences in the end.

With Melisa safe and snug in this season’s final list, the two remaining weeks promises to be a breeze for her. For the rest of the housemates, though, things would not be so easy. The remaining 5 housemates are all nominated for eviction. Unknown to them, only one more housemate will say goodbye because a slot for the fifth big placer just opened up.

For the next 2 weeks, it’s back to the original voting system. No eviction votes anymore; it’s all vote to save from now on. Text BBS and send it to 2331 for Globe, TM, Sun Cellular and Bayan Wireless Landline or 231 for Smart and Talk n Text. All votes will be accumulated from now until the Big Night. Not only will it determine the ranking of the Big 5, but pass judgment on the last evictee of the season. The one with the lowest votes next week will inevitably be booted out for good.

Start saving up for your copy of the second PBB magazine, soon to hit the magazine stands everywhere. Meanwhile, keep watching PBB Double Up! Who deserves the title of Big Winner, and who does not deserve a place at all? Vote wisely, Kapamilya.
