Ex-PBB housemate Mariel Soriño has nothing against Princess Manzon!

Feisty lady housemates Mariel Soriño and Princess Manzon almost broke into a catfight during the Resbak Attack weekly task that pitted the official housemates against the ex-housemates. Princess was very aggressive in her attempt to destroy the domino tower of the housemates, but Mariel bravely tried to stop her and lead her to the exit. In an interview with ABS-CBN.com, Mariel revealed that she knew that Princess was only acting according to the task given by Big Brother. “Alam ko may tasks talaga ang mga ex-housemates na gusto nilang basagin ‘yung mga eggs at ‘yung torre. Nung nagsalita na si Princess ng mga masasakit na bagay alam ko talaga na strategy lang niya ‘yun so hindi ko masyado pinapatulan. Pero nung binabato na niya ‘yung torre inawat ko lang siya.”



But when the situation called for Mariel to hold down Princess, tension arose when the two ladies got physical with one another. “Natakot ako kasi baka maging violent na ang sitwasyon, e bawal ‘yun. Gusto ko lang siyang pigilan. Eh pumalag siya kaya so medyo nagkasakitan kami. Pero hindi ko naman intensyon na makipag-away. Naging klaro sa akin na may task nga siya at feeling ko puntirya niya ako so naisip ko ‘wag siyang patulan kasi ‘yun talaga ang gusto niya.”

Good thing was before Princess left the house when the task was over, she and Mariel got to settle the misunderstanding that arose from the weekly task. “Nagkausap naman kami. The truth is wala namang problema on my part. I told Princess na alam kong para lang sa task ‘yung mga ginagawa niya. She said wala rin naman ‘yun sa kanya.”

Unfortunately, Mariel failed in her goal to be part of the Big Five of PBB when she became the final evictee of the competition. When she returned to the outside world, she faced the criticisms from some viewers and other ex-housemates who found her too much of a ‘suck up.’ The 21-year-old single mom justified, “Sa totoo lang people pleaser talaga ako. ‘Yung bahay namin katabi lang ng orphanage ng mom ko. Sanay ako sa mga bata lagi ko silang inaasikaso. ‘Uy! Basa ang likod mo. Magpalit ka!’ Ganun ‘yun. Tsaka sa family namin kapag may favor sa akin ginagawa ko agad. Walang halong ka-plastikan. Hindi kasi alam ‘yun ng mga tao si maybe it’s easy for them to say na plastic ako.”

Mariel wished that she would have been a part of the Big Five and if it’s just all up to her, she would steal the place from Johan Santos. “Hindi pa ako convinced kay Johan. One dahil may house and lot na siya and malaking prize na ‘yun. Okay na siya kahit hindi maging part ng Big Five. Another reason is wala akong masyadong nakikita sa kanya. Mostly quiet, nasa tabi lang, hindi ko pa siya masyadong nakilala.”

Nevertheless, this Davaoeña is just looking forward to the opportunities awaiting her after PBB. The ‘hot momma’ said she is open into giving show biz a try. “Hindi ako makapaniwala na nakikilala na kami. Too good to be true yata. If it’s true then it must be good, ha ha ha! Kung may opportunities sa showbiz, why not? Minsan lang dumating ‘yan. I can try dancing, medyo okay naman ako mag hip-hop o modern dance. Gusto ko rin ang acting. Crush ko talaga si Coco Martin. Pumasok siya sa bahay ang he’s so gwapo and nice. I also like Sam Milby. Pero kung sexy hindi ko pa naiisip ‘yan.”
